Care
of the tattoo
Do you want to see a good result on your tattoo?
Caring for a tattoo is almost as important as getting it done. Here are the best tips for a perfect tattoo. In the end, the result of a tattoo is 50% in its creation and 50% in its healing, so it is very important to follow all the advice we give you.
- A few weeks before tattooing, avoid direct sun exposure to the area to be tattooed (in case of sun exposure, always use sunscreen and keep the area well moisturised).
Aftercare
To ensure your tattoo stays vibrant and healthy, it is essential to follow a specific care routine. Here are the key steps to caring for your new tattoo:
Tips: what not to do to heal the tattoo?
- During tattoo healing avoid:
- That the tattoo is in contact with animals.
- That it is in contact with water for a long time (avoid the beach and swimming pool for the first 15 days).
- Prolonged exposure to the sun.
- Rubbing on the tattooed area (wear loose-fitting clothing) to prevent the tattoo from rubbing against clothing.
- Do not touch the tattoo with the towel. We recommend the use of an absorbent towel.
Applying tattoo healing cream
- Keep the bandage on for 2-4 hours.
- Wash the tattooed area with neutral ph soap (always cold or lukewarm water).
- Dry with absorbent paper, dabbing the skin (not dragging it).
- Apply the tattoo healing cream (a small amount should be a thin layer).
Repeat this process 3 times a day for the duration of the tattoo healing time.
It depends on several factors such as the type of skin, the area where the tattoo was made, the size of the tattoo and the precautions taken by the tattooed person to ensure that the tattoo heals properly:
- Large tattoos usually take 2 to 3 weeks to heal.
- Small tattoos are usually healed within 7 days.
We do not recommend doing sport until 72 hours after the tattoo has been done. It also depends on the type of sport and the tattooed area, the best thing to do is to consult us personally.
